Gallery Tours

A historic centre of empire and industry, London boasts some of the finest Arts and Historical collections in the world, and is the globe's premier destination for the best of contemporary art.  Organise a tour of a gallery or museum with Bear and Lion Tours

The National Gallery

Showcasing one of the world's great art collections, the National Gallery can be visited for a few hours or a few days.  On view are some of the greatest works from Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Titian, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raphael, Rembrandt, Monet, Seurat, Caravaggio, Hans Holbein,  Van Dyck, and Vermeer.

The Tate Modern

Housing one of the world's premier collections of contemporary art, the Tate Modern is one of the most visited sites in the UK.  Housing top-flight one-off exhibitions including Malevich and Rodchenko, as well as works by Roy Lichenstein, Anish Kapoor, Mark Rothko, Ai Weiwei, Damien Hirst and Gilbert and George, this is modern art heaven.

The British Museum

80,000 objects from all eras of history are housed in this Pantheon to human creation.  From the Elgin marbles (part of which were recently loaned to the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg) to the Rosetta Stone, to a head from the Pacific's Easter Island, a tour of the British Museum is a tour of our past.

A rather different type of museum to those above, the Imperial War Museum lies just over the river from the Houses of Parliament, and contains exhibitions about Britain's role in modern warfare.  While sections look at the Imperial legacy that saw Britain become the World's largest empire, there are moving exhibitions on the First World War, and of course some incredible hardware on show!  Tours can also be arranged to The IWM's museum in Duxford, near Cambridge, which exhibits over one hundred historic aircraft.
